5-7-10

L.I: To use 5-7-10 to write creatively.

Lightning never strikes twice, does it?

That was the question that occupied their frightened minds as they crouched, huddling together, next to the pile of dusty sacks in the base of the windmill... This event started on a sunny morning when a group of college friends were planning to go on a trip because they were on a college break, and they knew they wouldn’t have anything to do.

Between the 4 friends there were two girls and two boys getting ready to go on their trip. They knew that there was a chance of a thunderstorm. On their trip it started to rain, and as they went further on the rain got harder. They saw strange things as the night was rising.

Soon after it started thundering and both girls were getting scared of the loud noises. The two boys found a windmill and they went inside since it was the only source of cover that they found nearby. They went inside and huddled together in the dusty sacks waiting for the morning.

When the morning sun rise was upon them they woke up with relief that they made it through the night with no injuries. They went home safely and agreed that they would never go on a trip without making sure the weather would be sunny or at least not be a potential thunderstorm.
