Activity 3: Miracle on the Hudson

For the third activity we had to recount a time that someone was brave when doing something I chose Nelson Mandela because he was the first person that came into my mind. Nelson Mandela had the courage to fight against discrimination for racism. This activity was fun to complete.

  1. Hi Karlos, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the post you shared about being brave... sometimes being brave can be hard too! Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hi Karlos

I really enjoyed reading your blog post for one of the Summer Learning Journey activity's. I think Nelson Mandela is a great person to and has done some great things. I think you could talk more about him and add more information so that we know some facts and stuff about him. Great Job

  3. Kia Ora Karlos,

Your blog - post was really amazing and I really enjoyed reading it. Your example of a brave person is amazing because Nelson Mandela has impacted the world in big ways. I think you should write a little bit more on Nelson Mandela. Was this task hard to do or easy?

    Great Job!

  5. Hi Karlos,
I liked how you said that Nelson Mandela had the courage to fight against racism. I also liked how you included a picture of him (That's attributed) on your DLO. Do you think you could do what he did?

  6. Ciao Karlos! You worded this description about Nelson really well. Although, I do think the layout of your poster could be a little different so they isn't a strange space on the right side. Great job!
