For and against

LI:What is a point of View.
For this task the must do is to persuade someone in a count down of 1 minute. Our category was why should technology be used at school. I am against it because why can't we work on paper. Writting on paper can also help us with our handwriting because when write more often, when there is technology it makes our handwriting bad. Then Mr Ogilvie would say a category and the we would have to do a speech for it or against it.

Kiwi sport

Today for kiwisport we learnt our high jump skills.

First we played a warm up game, it was called volcanoes and valleys in volcanoes and valleys. There are two teams. There are cones are spread out, when the cone is facing up that means it is volcanoes, When the cone is facing down that means it is valleys. We have a thirty second timer, if you are in the volcanoes you have to make the cones face up, if you are in the valleys you have to make the cone face down. We practised our high jumping skills, we did a challenge and done our high jumps. We had to do a scissor kick. We jumped over the pole, we had to jump with our right and the left leg is the trail leg.

Making a 3D shape

LI: To create my own 3D shape with a different capacity from volume.
This week for maths i made a 3D shape. We had to write the measurements, calculation. Before we made our shape we had to make a plan. Mr Wong showed us a example of what to do. We learnt by making a plan.

kiwi can

I learned at kiwi can to be respectful when you are The first game we played was called “bip bop bounce” this is how you play, people have to get in a circle and one person is in the middle, the person in the middle has to point to a person and has to say bip bop bounce and the person that the person in the middle is pointing at has to say bang before the person in the middle says bounce. I learned by going to kiwi can and listening to the instructions.

Keyboarding drills - 3

L.I To type the letters without looking at your keyboard.
I had to copy each row of letters without looking at my keyboard. There are only 3 levels of keyboarding drills i decided level 3

Tables conga

Today for can dos i chose this maths game called table conga. It is on a site called transum. This really helps me with my times table. The point of this game is to try and get all the times tables in order and try not to restart because the grey circles with the x on it.

Opossum

 L.I To identify the main idea in the text.
Today I did a poster about possums. Possums can be really and it can really hurt a lot if you got bitten. I learned by making a google draw and getting a image of a possum. Then putting information on it.

Point of view

LI : what is the differents between facts and opinion.

this week for writing i was doing point of view, on this we had to write two Paragraph of things you want to happen. What we had to was we had to wirte a Point of view with our group. My idea was Going Rugby for games free, Why rugby is not popular.




Rugby was always an elite sport. It was created by public schools boys (so was football for that matter) to be played to prove how manly they were. However, while football flourished. Some kids are very sad that they can't see rugby games for free. People think it is boring watching it at home on the television. I say people should make the tickets free.



Rugby can not be played on poorly maintained ground or hard ground. People think rugby is not popular because some of their favorite teams lost.most people want to see rugby games for free but they can't afford tickets. I think tickets should be free so people can watch rugby games instead of watching it at home.


Kiwi sport

Today for kiwi sport we learnt our jumping skills. Our teacher name was Andy. First we played a warm up game it was called frog stuck in the mud, In frog stuck in the mud we have to stay tin the boundrays then ther are 5 taggers they try to tag the people who are running, If you get tagged or go out the boundrays you have to crouch into a ball and other people who are running have to leap over person on the ground. Then we learnt our jumping skills, They were bent Knees, legs shoulder width apart, Swinging your arms and Looking straght ahead. The last game we played was rock paper scissors, In rock paper scissors there are lily pads, We had to jump and land on 2 feet, We had to do that until we got to the person in the other team, Then we had to do rock paper scissors who ever lost had to go back in line and the person who won continues.

Today I read aung naing's blog post and then I commented on his work. I also commented on aung naing's blog post it looked interesting. We had to give them a greeting,Advice,question and a speech.

Today i done my seven times tables and i completed the whole thing.

kiwi can

LI: To control our feelings when others are with you.

Our first energiser we played was called defender. The game was to use one of your hands to be a defender, So you had to get into groups and then someone has to have the ball in their hand, The person with the tennis ball has to try and get it between there legs, If they get it between there legs that person is out. Our theme is Resilience and Resilience means coping with other challenges and bouncing back. Finally the last game was sit down doge ball. Mr malu had to count us off 1 2 3 4, then we had to form a big circle. Mr Malu had to call out a group number then, that group number had to run in the middle and the people in the circle has to try and roll the ball to the people in the middle.

Hauora

LI: To create a hauora wall. This week for Mr Ogilvie's inquiry group we focusing on hauora. I learnt that hauora has 4 meanings to it. Spiritualwell being, Socialwell being, Physicalwell being, and mental/emotional well being. Yesterday our task was to get into groups of 4 and pick which wall you were going to create out of the 4. i chose spiritual (maori word:taha wairua).I learnt this by watching a video about hauora and to find the information.

LI: to separate fact from opinion and to identify the main ideas of a text.

What I learned was to tell the main ideas and tell the supporting detail. Opinion is what someone thinks and feels it can be backed up with some information but its still not true. Fact is something that is true information. I also done the superhero speech, Fact or opinion.

Raz kids - eleventeen

I learnt by going on a site called Raz kids. On Raz kids you have to sign in then click reading room then choose a book to listen to read and answer the questions.

Key boarding Drills

LI: is to type with the correct fingers.
I learned to use the correct fingers to copy everything without looking at my keys. I used the keyboarding drills. learned by going onto the keyboarding drills, keyboarding drills is when you have to copy the same letters without looking.

3D net planing

L.I LI: to create my own 3D shape with a different capacity from volume.

This week for Maths, We had to make a plan then next week we are going to make a 3D shape that can hold something in it. First I had to make a net for the shape that i am doing and measure the width, height and depth.
Next I had to do the capacity. the capacity has to be more then zero and the capacity has to be different from the volume. Volume means what is the shape or objects size, Capacity means it how much a shape or object can hold.

Prime minister voting


LI: to demonstrate understanding of persuasion and influence.
Today for inquiry we made a poster about being president..I learned by making a google drawing and saying "vote Karlos for Prime Minister".I had to make it short so when people drive past they can read it without chrashing.

KiwiCan

Today in kiwi can i learnt about self control.we played a game when we had to run before the other team tag you and we use bean bags to get it and go back to you own side.Then we played another game called Beep bob Bounce.In Beep bob bounce we had to say bang before the person in the middle of the circle say Bounce.If you say bang to late you have to sit down.

Today for reading me and my partner went on a google draw and made 8 text boxes 4 on 1 side and 4 on the side.My partner was mojtaba and we finished in 5 minutes or 10 minutes.We learnt by watching a video.

LI:To draw nets of simple 3D shapes.
Today for maths learnt how to unfold a 3D shape.we had to find a 3 dimensional shape so we can make a net out of that shape that we chose.We had to trace the shape or rule a line of the shape.We done our work in our maths book.

Persuasive Advertisement








LI: to recognise and understand the purpose of advertising persuasive language features.
We had to fill out questions that relate to images we see of products.We had to do 6 questions and we had to choose one of them to blog.


Rotation,Translation and Reflection

L.I is to Rotate,Translate and Reflect a 4 sided shape.
I learnt how to rotate a shape and how to draw the number cross.I learnt by watching a video.we had to do this in our maths book.

Co-operative Game

L.I: Create a game which would encourage building characteristics from previous lessons.
This week for Inquiry, we had to make our own co-operative game.My game we made was called Conealestawe had to test it out if it is good or not If it is not good then we had to change somethings on our brainstorm

LI: Skimming and scanning through a article and writing it down on a piece of paper.

In Ls2 we had to be in a group of two or three and had to write information.The information we write about was about the labour.It talks about whos going to be the prime minister and only men 18 and over could vote.the people in my group were Julian & Jonathan.I learnt by going on a site called the new zealand parliament.we had to Skim & scan through a article.We had to write information about it. We also had to the tell the writer to write down the information on a piece of paper.after we finished writing information down we had to tell the teacher some questions we wanted to know about.
