For the 8th activity we had for the task today was to learn about 3 people's accomplishments. something I found interesting was that Joseph was trying to be faster than ever before the end of the year. This activity was fun to complete and interesting to find out what their accomplishments are.
Activity 7: The Rainman of Rajasthan
For the 7th summer learning journey teaser week activity we had made a DLO about the water project. this activity was fun to do because it was interesting to find out what its like in countries that don't have the access to the clean water that other people have. We worked collaboratively with our partner or our group. This activity was similar to what we did earlier in the year aout Turkana we made water filters after we learnt about Turkana.
Activity 6: The Greatest of All Time
This is the 6th activity and third activity for day 2. This activity was fun and easy to do all we had to do was what we thought was the advantage of being the GOAT in chess and what would be the disadvantages of being the GOAT in chess.

activity 5: Equal Pay for Equal Work
This is the second activity for the second day. The activity write on if it was fair for the black ferns to get less money than the All Blacks. I don't think it's fair because they play the same sport as the All blacks and they sort of have the same experience as each other, so why are they getting less money.
Activity 4: Faster than a speeding bullet
This is the second day first activity for the SLJ teaser week. We made a DLO about similes that we had to write about. we could either use the starters or make up our own similes. This activity was fun to complete because it was simple to do.

Market Day Evaluation
Last week on friday PBS had a Market Day to help us on our inquiry topic enterprise and economics. Our product was the Rainbow Crayons. Were Rainbow Crayons a good choice? They were good because we had a variety of different colours and shapes. They were cheap to make and looked really good in the end. Our gross profit was $96.00, our costs were $8.00 which made our net profit $88.00. We made our product with broken and used crayons and moulds that were gifted to us. So they were cheap to make and on the market day we sold our Rainbow Crayons for only one dollar. While we were doing our market day we could buy an ice block for one token because we used tokens to buy products from other classes not money.

This year was the first time that the We went to the back of the theater to sit on the comfy seats. The Manaiakalani Film festival was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed watching the movies from our school and other schools.

Motat trip
Yesterday LS2, LS1 and RM 5 went to Motat in Auckland to learn about our inquiry topic STEAM Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. LS2 were with RM 5 to help make sure they were together LS2 were first making a car using cardboard, batteries, battery pack, skewers motor, fans and straws. We did this in partners my partner was Matthew. Our car was to heavy so the fan wasn't strong enough to push the car forward. After that we went to build a flashlight we had to work in a group of three it was Matthew, Giovanni and I we had to build something to make it not flicker we had to make it efficient and it was hard because there were no tips to help and not enough time. After that we had our lunch then went to have a look around parts of Motat that also help us learn more about our our inquiry topic. The teachers were Emma, Kensar and Damon. It was a good trip because everyone was having fun with the activities They were hard but fun at the same time.

Rhythm Interactive's visit to PBS
This week the whole of PBS went to the hall to learn about the importance of making a change with our special guest Johnny. When we got into the hall we up to buddy up with one of students in Rm 1 and 6 to help them so they can understand what to do because they are the little kids in the school. Our instructor Johnny talked to us about making a change together as a team. Johnny had a phrase called if you can say it you can play it it means to speak something and copy but on a drum. We had to listen and follow a beat, Pattern or a Rhythm. Johnny had a African drum called a Djembe and we had a little version of the Djembe. I really Enjoyed this activity because I got to help the younger students and to copy a beat on a drum, And it was also funny. johnny has a video about saving the Jungle. At the end Johnny was giving out drums for the school if they get the answer right to see if we can guess what the instrument.
