An upward struggle

Jess was a normal woman who loved to do rock climbing. She went on an adventure on a high cliff that she loved to climb, but every time she climbed it got even harder. Lara wanted to be a professional climber. Everyday she practised on the same cliff. The thing was even though how much she stretched her whole body was aching after her climb.

The time was 4:40Am and the sun would rise at 7:25Am in the morning where she would climb up the cliff until sunrise. Halfway up the cliff she was sweating and she could taste the saltiness of her sweat as it ran down to her mouth. She saw the view of the mountain across the bay like it was right next to her. She had a quarter left to go but there was a challenge ahead:

The rocks were starting to slip as her hands were sweaty and she thought she was going to slip, but luckily there was a little platform where she could just reach. The time was 6:50Am so she had 35 minutes to reach the top. She was almost there. She realised that she dropped her water bottle while she was climbing and she was so thirsty but she kept climbing. She was filled with happiness because she made it to the top.

This week for writing we did another writing activity, But this time we had 10 minutes to plan, 5 minutes to write, 7 minutes to chat about our writing with a partner and another 10 minutes to write more. This one was easier because we had an extra ten minutes to plan unlike the first time we didn't have time to plan. This was fun to do.
