Goodbye Term 2 of 2020
Term 2 has been the weirdest term of the whole of my school life. In Term 2 we had something called level 4 lockdown, which meant we had to stay inside of our homes. All of New Zealand was in this level 4 lockdown for around 7 or 8 weeks. We were in this lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We had 12 weeks of school because two of those weeks that we spent in lockdown we were meant to be at school. When Panmure Bridge School were in level 4 lockdown we were keeping our learning going. It also meant that it was longest Term that any student in Panmure Bridge School has experienced, But luckily we are having our school holidays now so we can have a break from school and work for 2 weeks. Next Term we are having our first interschool sports since the level 4 lockdown. This blogpost was just so I can say Goodbye to Term 2 of 2020. Everyone have a safe holiday and be ready to come back to school for Term 3.

For the third Matariki DLO we wrote the importance of Matariki. This DLO was about the importance of Matariki. This DLO was simple to make because we were working on this DLO together. Matariki is the mother and the six daughters and they are all the seven stars of Matariki. This DLO was fun to make.

L.I: To explain in fewer words what Matariki is about?

For the second Matariki Challenge we made a summary about Matariki. This summary was about who the stars were and when the Matariki stars come out. This DLO was made by the same group as the first one. We worked together for all of the activities. This activity was fun to do because I got to look for the words which helped us get the task done faster.

Matariki challenge 1
L.I: To use our knowledge to explain what Matariki is?

This week we made five or six DLO's about Matariki. This is the first one in this DLO we talked about what Matariki is. This DLO was made in groups. In my group there was Matthew, Giovanni, Azatulah and myself. In this DLO we wrote about what Matariki was, and what it was about. This activity was fun and interesting to do because we worked well together and we didn't know much about Matariki.

Respected Leader C.A.R.E Award
This week I made a DLO about a respected leader. The respected leader I chose was Matthew I chose Matthew because I have known Matthew the longest and because I know how hard he works to be a good role model even though he gets himself into trouble. This task was easy to do but was one of my favourite ones. The photo of him was made this year by him when the whole class made a digital made potrait. This task was fun to do because of how I got to talk about a leader of Panmure Bridge School for 2020.

Maths challenge 1
L.I to rind the most efficient strategy to solve the problem.
This week I worked with Matthew to complete a Maths cahllenge because it is the second day back at school. This activity was about weight, fractions and fish. We first tried to work it out on a piece of paper. After that we made a DLO and copied the information on the paper onto the google drawing. Once we completed the DLO we presented them to some of the class then blogged it. This challenge was fun because I could communicate with someone.

Exploring Provocation
L.I To consider two side of a provocation.
This week we have been exploring two sides of a provocation. A provocation is an action or speech that triggers emotions or feelings. Our provocation is that if NZ should be a cashless society. After considering both perspectives we think that we should not do this because people might need the money to survive, like what if they only have 20 dollars on there card.

Kiwi Sport reflection - Cricket
This week we had our first session of our Kiwi Sport for 2020. The name of our coach that we have is Brian, and he is from the HPPC. There were two different things we did, and first was batting so groups of four or five and someone all the batters hit balls then fielding team ran to the field after the last ball was hit. Batters ran back and forth, and they counted their runs. The fielders had to get all the balls back to where they were hit the highest was 20. The second one was bowling we had to hit the wicket with the ball. and put the cones in the wicket.
