Maths Challenge 2

L.I To find the most efficient strategy to help you solve the maths problem.

For one of the maths challenge like the others this one was my favourite to do because it was about a Hangi. Hangi is a traditional New Zealand Māori method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a underground oven. I used two different stratagies the easiest one for me was the one at the bottom. This challenge was fun to complete.

Maths Challenge 3

L.I To find the most efficient strategy to help you solve the maths problem.

For the third maths challenge it was the same as the other two maths challenges. The third maths challenge was really simmilar to the first one it was about a Ula Lole or Kahoa Lole. I had to find how many red fruit bursts and green fruit bursts would fit in a amount of a Ula Lole like how many red fruit bursts would fit in a Ula Lole that can hold 65 lollies. This challenge was also fun to complete like the other ones.

Maths Challenge 2

L.I To find the most efficient strategy to help you solve the maths problem.

For the second Maths challenge it was like the first challenge but different questions and a different topic. In Q3 Once I figured out to add 7 + 4 = 11 it was easy to come up with the strategy to find out how many in total Koro and Zion had harvested between them. This challenge was fun to complete.

Maths Challenge 1

L.I To find the most efficient strategy to help you solve the maths problem.

For one of my Maths challenges this week I made a DLO about Kahoa Lole which is a lolly necklace. This chalenge I answered 3 questions that were given to us. One of the questiong were Nana is making Kahoa Lole for prize giving. If every Kahoa Lole has 21 lollies in it and she has 138 lollies. How many Kahoa Lole can she make and how many lollies will she have left over? Once I answered all 3 questions I explained the strategy I used to answer these questions. This challenge was fun to complete.

ANZAC facts

For the second ANAC challenge I made a DLO that has 3 facts about ANZAC and why I found it interesting. Another facts that I found interesting was that Services are held at dawn because in battle, dawn was the best tim to attack the enemy. Soldiers would wake in the dark so at the first sign of light they were alert and awake.

WW1 Collage

For one of the ANZAC challenges I chose to make a collage about the brave men in WW1. In the War men fought for our country and people lost someone because this war. The war was a hard time for the men and women in the war and their family who wants that person back in one piece.

Kelly Tarltons

For another one of the home learning activities. This one is about a place in Auckland called Kelly Tarltons. I worked with Matthew and Afa for this activity. The first activity was about how much it would cost for our whole family to go It would cost $159 for my whole family to go. The second activity was an info-graphic about one of the sea animals at the aquarium we chose a Seahorse, and the last activity was about the opening hours and the ticket prices

Leaf art

For the home learning we had to use our creativity to make an animal out of leaves that we could find around our house.I chose to do a Giraffe because it was the first animal that came to my head. This activity was fun to do because I got creative and was able to make it using different types of leaves. Three fact about Giraffes below.

  • A group of Giraffes is called a Tower.
  • Giraffes spend most of their lives standing up even when giving birth and sleeping.
  • Their legs are taller than many humans.

Skyline Luge

For one of the home learning activities we had to complete a few activities that were given to us from what other people made if we went into lock-down which we did. This DLO is about the skyline Luge in Rotorua. The first activity was about why we should wear helmets and what would happen if we didn't wear a helmet. The second activity was about what activities I would go on and the price for your whole family to go on all the rides. The last activity was about the distance from Auckland to Rotorua the time to get there on a plane, and the time to get there in a car.
