Respect-Aretha Franklin

This DLO is about the song respect by Aretha Franklin. Aretha Franklin was a singer who was famous for being one of the most active female singers. Her most famous song is called Respect and is a song that tells an important message. Sadly she died the 16th of August 2018. She was a great singer and is one of my favourite female singers.

Respect: admiring someone or something by their skills and abilities.

C.A.R.E Values

This week for leadership week we have been split into groups. Each group was given a piece of paper asking questions about what Confidence, Attitude, Respect and excellence and innovation looks like and means. We then used a presentation to add onto our answers and also added in our photos we took that shows what each care value looks like.

Kiwi Can

L.I: is to learn about how we can respect the people in our community.
This week for Kiwi Can we were still talking about protect your legs, in this game we had to get into a circle and we had to protect our legs by using only one hand to block the ball and hit the ball and try to hit it in another persons legs.

After that we sat in our four lines and we talked about what and how we can have respect for our community. when we finished talking about respect for our community we played our energizer hand soccer in this game Mr Matt put us into two teams, we all had a number my number was 10 so if Mr Matt said some numbers like 8, 9 and ten then they would have to run to their cone and hit the ball with only one hand my teams name was cookie potato and the other team was all whites my team one ten to six. When we finished playing the game we had our GKQ we played the master version Mojtaba and the Master at the end was Sandra.

Kiwi Can

L.I is to have respect for our community.
This week for Kiwi Can we had the same topic and Theme from last week. The topic is Respect for our community and our theme is respect. Some of the important people in our community are the police officers, ambulance, and the firefighters. Then we played our energizer it was called remote. Once we finished playing that we sat in our four lines and we talked about respect for our community.

when we finished talking about that we went outside to play invisible touch in this game we had to get into two lines and when Mr Matt said a number that number of people had to run around the hoop, and the he said someones name and that person had the ball, if the person with the ball gets tagged that person who tagged the person with the ball now has the ball.

Kiwi Can

L.I is to respect others and the environment.
This week for Kiwi Can was our  second time going to Kiwi Can when we got there we had to get into four lines. We played centre ball and bus stop. We played our energizer first called centre ball. first we had get into a circle and number people off. and when kiwi can called all the one people then all the one people have to run around everyone and to their standing spot to run in the middle to get the ball.

After that we had our activity bus stop. In this game we had to get into five groups then Ms Paige gave us a pen and paper to write a Boy name, Girl name, Animal and the Colour. If your group had the same as another team you would get 5 points and you have your own and word you get 10 points. than you would have to write one word for each box starting with the letter that has been called out.

It was basically the end of the day we had to get into our point, we all had to agree on each other by putting our hands up using our fingers to show how much points we should get for each station of the point system but the max of points we could get was 5 not 6 or ten. So then the point's were settled, the points were 5, 5, 5, 4 and 4, our total points were 23.

Kiwi Can

This week was the first week of the term and our first lesson on Kiwi Can. Mrs Lily wasn't there because she is having a baby boy in December. We had a new leader and her name was Mrs Paige. Then we also have a new theme and topic. The theme is Respect and the topic is For our school.

The energizer for kiwi can is No Rules Or Rules. So the game was tag but with no rules. So everyone could tag each other. It was really exhausting and boring because you wouldn't get out. The next round was with rules the first taggers were Mr Matt and Mrs Paige. It was a lot more fun and fair.

After the energizer we talked about Values our school values is CARE confidence, Attitude, respect and excellence and innovation. Values means the standards and behaviour in the life you are living. My value is taking responsibility. I picked responsibility because I need to be responsible for my own doings.

When we finished doing that we got into our activity. This activity was really fun it is called role play in this game there are two new students and the other students have shared lunch but the two new students didn't bring any lunch I was one of the new students and the person was Akuhata. Our group name was The Hollow heads.

In our group was Giovanni, Akuhata, Sione T, Acien and Jordan.
