LI: To learn how to swim.
This week for swimming we had to go our instructor. First we got into the pool. Then we swam to the other side using the boards. We did this two times. After we swam using the boards, we did the same thing. This time when we swam on our fronts and we had to breathe, we had to turn around on our backs and swim. We did this this a couple times.
Once we did that we did the same thing again, but we couldn't use our boards. Once we did that we had to catch toys. The toys had to sink first, then we could go down and catch it. We did that two times. After that we did a horse race. For the horse race we had to get into partners. my partner was Jordan.
After that we got a pool noodle for the both of us. One of us had to curve the pool noodle and had to put our arms over it. The other person had to hold the end of the pool noodle with our hands. The person in the front had to run and the person at the back had to kick their legs to try and win. We came last but we didn't care because it was just a game.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Swimming
LI: To learn water safety.
This week for Kiwi Sport we started off by walking into the YMCA Swimming place we first started by getting into our groups. After we got into our groups our name would get called and we had to jump into the pool. we can do a dolphin dive to get a toy that is at the bottom of the pool.

We first did the streamline witch was when we have to breath and roll on to our back. So both hands on each other same as the arms and then we have to try and cover our ears. Also legs have to get underwater not on the water or it will make really big splashing.
and then we had to go under the water and we had to go threw the hoop and then the hoop got deeper until it touched the bottom floor of the pool it was really hard to breath under the water and then we had to float on our backs and we had to remember how to scull and we had to also swim and we had to turn on our backs and back on to our tummy's and then it was time for us to go back to PBS.
