Multiplying fractions
LI: To find fractions of whole number amounts using multiplication and division. This week for maths we had to create a animation that shows how to multiply a fraction. I decided to go with 4/5 x 7 To multiply a fraction you only multiply the numerator with the number you chose to multiply. For the animation we could write sentences of what to do. I decided to show how to multiply a fraction two ways. Then I had to multiply the fraction by any number. Then the answer I would get will be a improper fraction, an improper fraction is a fraction were the denominator is bigger than the numerator. After that I changed the improper fraction into into a mixed number by dividing the the fraction and the times table. That would give me an answer.

Chris destructive fart
L.I to write a quick narrative for the Manaiakalani film festival.
This week for Writing we got into groups of three and wrote a Narrative on the LS1 Olympics. But we had to make a problem. It was a lot of fun. When we've finish writing the story, we are going to vote for a narrative and the narrative is going to turn into a movie. The people in my group were Me, Mojtaba and Chris.

Swimming lessons
L.I to learn how to swim.
This week went to the panmure lagoon pool to do swimming lessons. We learn't new skills for swimming.We changed our clothes and listen to the steps to get in the pool.We had to put one arm up on the right side then swap so the our arm can go on our left side.Well doing that we had to put our head up and breathe I forgot the name of our instructor but the first thing we did was standing on one of the platform and having to swim to the other side I didn't do so good but I did all right. Next we had to swim to the other platform while kicking with our legs straight and lift your right arm over then our left arm over I did a lot better doing that. Before we left to get changed we had to dive down and get three toys.

This week for Cyber smart we are learning about media. The purpose of being information and media literate is to engage in a digital society one needs to be able to understand, inquire, create, communicate and think. Media is also for your personal stuff. Media is when you communicate with the people in your community, family member and your city. We had to work in pairs or triples I worked in pairs with Xavier.

Visualizing and Questioning
LI: to visualise and question scenes in a book.
This week for reading we learned about Visualization Mr Wong first told us what it means then made a google document so we can do what it says on the document. We first had to find a book then read the book after that we had to take one sense out of the book and put it on the google document. We had to write what number page was the sense on and then we had to draw on a piece of paper how the sense is described as then lastly we had to put the title of the book on the google document but we had to do to books.

Kiwi Can
LI: to show resilience.
This week for Kiwi Can group B had there first Kiwi Can session for term 3 we have a new topic and theme the topic is goal setting and our new theme is resilience. Our energizer was called up or down in this game we had to get into a diagonal line across the room, and we had to get into a line in the correct order like your birth month and mine was in November. Next we had our activity was goal set. There were three cones, for each cone they have a set of points, we had to throw a hoola hoop on a cone so we could get the points. One cone is worth fifty points, and other cone was worth one hundred points and the furthest cone was worth one hundred and fifty plus you can take one hundred points off of the other team. There were also two teams

Duffy Theatre
L.I is to learn about bullying and why it is bad.
Thank you Duffy for coming in to our school and communicating with all our students and for teaching us things that we need to work on or not do, so that in the up coming future you will be a good person and will not do anything bad.On Monday we went to the hall for our Duffy Theater. In the show we learnt about bullying. The show was a lot funny then the last show, and we also learnt a lot about bullying. LI: To learn new things form each other.
Today was quiz day.For the whole term we have been learing about the human systems and used our skills to do task to get credits.We all used these credits to our power so we can win,We all learn things we may have not known or know how to explane it.We did not just learn about the human system we also learn about other system that are not like humans such as cats or fish.For the human system we learned about nutrtion,sensitivity and respiration.

L.I: Is to learn how to save your money. This week LS1 learnt about how to save our money by using ASB. To save our money you should always put your money in the bank so you could get interest. interest means a special right of borrowing money then you get interest, and we learnt about C.A.S.H goals.

We learnt about clear. clear is when you should always check your shopping things because when you order it online they might give you the wrong thing or even the wrong size, so before you buy you would want to check the price,check the size,check the colour and check the brand. We also learnt about action. Action is when you wanna earn money. The way you could earn money is asking your neighbours for any chores but first you would want to keep in touch of your parents so they could know how much they are paying you or what chores you are doing for an example dishes,vacuuming and cleaning the room.

M&M fractrions
LI: To understand corresponding fraction, decimals and percentages./LI: To understand mixed number, improper and equivalent fraction. This week for maths we had to make a copy of a google doc. First we got into groups. I was with Karlos and Vayan. After we got a packet of M&Ms and split each colours. Then we counted how much m&m's where in each color. After we had our data we made a copy of the google doc and wrote down the color of M&Ms, how much there was in each color, the fraction and how much M&Ms there was all together.

Matariki celebration
Yesterday on Wednesday we had a Matariki celebration with the whole school. We did the Matariki celebration in the juniors. We sat on the benches. First some teachers spoke. Then there were performances. The first performance was the senior kapa haka. They did some dances and they also sang some songs. After it was the junior kapa haka. They also did some dances and songs. Once it was junior kapa haka three boys from our school and Mr. Matt did the drums. Then it was the ukulele group. There was only three girls and Whai Odie who did the ukulele. After it was the pacifica group. Three men did the drums for the pacifica group. They were really good. I think all the performances were awesome and they all were brave to show their performances to the school. They also just started last term and are very good. They practised a lot for the Matariki Celebration. Once all the performances were done the juniors had to line up on the right and the seniors had to line up on the left. We all got sausages. The vegetarians had to go to the kitchen to get sausages. I didn't go to the kitchen because I am not vegetarian but I still eat vegetables.

Matariki
L.I is to learn about Matariki. This week for inquiry we had to learn about Matariki. Two people in LS2 had to partner up with two people in LS1. In our group we had to collaborate with the people in our group. Once we had done that we had to make a DLO about matariki and write down the facts about matariki that we had wrote down on the piece of paper. Then we wrote some more information that was what is matariki.
