L.I To find the most efficent strategy to solve the problem.
This week LS2 were working on a DLO about Ta'Ovala. The answer we got was 39 We did, 1/2 of 12 which was 6 then 1/2 of 6 is 3, 1/2 of 3 is 1.5. The 1.5 x 26 = 39. The question was How many metres would they need to make 26 Ta ‘Ovala? The main information was For 8 Ta ‘Ovala, it takes 12 metres of material. This Maths challenge was fun to complete.

ReplyDeleteI like your maths DLO, about how the Ta'ovala maths challenge.
My favorite part about it, is that you have a photo and explanation in your DLO.
The working out for your question, is pretty clear. We also used halfs and multiplacation and addition, to work out our maths problem. I think your stratergy is awesome.
I have a question though. How did you work out 1.5 x 25, to get the answer 39?
Keep up the superb work.
