This week for we had our first Tech Session back at Tamaki College. We were with Mrs Ferguson Doing coding. We used Mblock to help us code our Mbots. This week was just about revising what we did last year with our old robotics teacher Mr Krishna. The first thing we did was make our Mbot move in a straight line. Then we coded our Mbot to move in a square. This was more challenging than last year because The wheels were loose so the Mbot would move diagonally. Tech this week was fun to do.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Maths challenge 1
L.I to rind the most efficient strategy to solve the problem.
This week I worked with Matthew to complete a Maths cahllenge because it is the second day back at school. This activity was about weight, fractions and fish. We first tried to work it out on a piece of paper. After that we made a DLO and copied the information on the paper onto the google drawing. Once we completed the DLO we presented them to some of the class then blogged it. This challenge was fun because I could communicate with someone.

Maths Challenge 2
L.I To find the most efficient strategy to help you solve the maths problem.
For one of the maths challenge like the others this one was my favourite to do because it was about a Hangi. Hangi is a traditional New Zealand Māori method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a underground oven. I used two different stratagies the easiest one for me was the one at the bottom. This challenge was fun to complete.

Maths Challenge 3
L.I To find the most efficient strategy to help you solve the maths problem.
For the third maths challenge it was the same as the other two maths challenges. The third maths challenge was really simmilar to the first one it was about a Ula Lole or Kahoa Lole. I had to find how many red fruit bursts and green fruit bursts would fit in a amount of a Ula Lole like how many red fruit bursts would fit in a Ula Lole that can hold 65 lollies. This challenge was also fun to complete like the other ones.

For the second Maths challenge it was like the first challenge but different questions and a different topic. In Q3 Once I figured out to add 7 + 4 = 11 it was easy to come up with the strategy to find out how many in total Koro and Zion had harvested between them. This challenge was fun to complete.

ANZAC facts
For the second ANAC challenge I made a DLO that has 3 facts about ANZAC and why I found it interesting. Another facts that I found interesting was that Services are held at dawn because in battle, dawn was the best tim to attack the enemy. Soldiers would wake in the dark so at the first sign of light they were alert and awake.
