Romeo and Juliet
This week for reading we were watching a small clip about the story of Romeo and Juliet. After we watched the clip we got into groups of four or five. Once we got into groups we made sentences then we had to turn those sentences into ten syllable sentences. This was easy to do but it wasn't finished we still had to create a animation or something to explain the scene that we were making our DLO. The people that were in my group were Matthew, Aung Naing and Joseph. This animation was hard because there were only two people who finished it. The two other people were at an interschool.

Thanksgiving

The Mayflower sailed out of Plymouth Harbour in England on September 6, 1620. The small sailing ship carried 102 pilgrims across the Atlantic ocean for 65 days to plimouth in the New World . They had religious freedom now but life was hard, as they had to build or make everything they needed for survival from scratch. The winter made life hard and many people lost their lives, crops failed to grow and spirits were low. Some of the wampanoag tribe helped by giving advice and by bringing food. That next year the pilgrims harvest was much better. To celebrate they hunted for meat and turned many of their crops into delicious food, and invited the wampanoag tribe to join them in a feast of thanksgiving.

Shoe challenge
Another day of going to school with Max. I feel so sore being worn everyday. When I was first out of the box I was excited but now I’ve ended up being old and broken. The toilet smells, I get gum on my soul and dirt all over me. I can’t take it anymore!! Finally the bell rings and I'm heading home. I see freedom as we proceeded to go home a big fluffy thing comes up to us and licks me. Phew! As soon as I get home after a stressful day, my arms are untied and I smell like meat. I always think to myself I really want him to get a new pair of shoes.
This week we did a writing challenge to remind us what personification is and how we use it. We had to get into pairs I was with Jayden and we wrote a short amount of sentences about dirty and old shoes. There was a twist it was that we couldn't talk to each other. This was real challenging to do because you might be thinking of an idea and your partner just writes a sentence that has nothing to do with what you were thinking.

Reading Presentation
This week we were in partners and presented a DLO about the history topic. My partner was Jayden and we were made a DLO and a Kahoot about our topic the Stone age. First we had to write the important words down in our writing book, then we made a interactive activity on kahoot. Jayden and I made ten questions for LS2 to answer. Once we made our Kahoot we made a DLO for our introduction, and we presented it.

FOODPRINT
Yesterday LS2 was invited by LS1 to be presented with a Lady named Michael who was showing us about food waste and her small business called FOODPRINT. Michael has been working on this Business for two years but it has been going for six months. Her app is like Uber eats but instead of the food being delivered to you, you have to pick it up. The logo design was based on a beetroot but some people thought it was different fruits or vegetables. FOODPRINT is an app to provide food at lower prices instead of wasting oversupply when Demand has decreased.

Manaiakalani film festival
Yesterday PBS went to sylvia park cinemas to watch films from 3 different schools. We were looking after little student from Room 6 & 7. We sat with our partner on the bus and we walked them to the movie theater and into their seats. This year was the 12th Manaiakalani Film Festival. This year was the first time that the We went to the back of the theater to sit on the comfy seats. The Manaiakalani Film festival was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed watching the movies from our school and other schools.

Financial Literacy (Maths)
L.I To understand profit equals income minus expenditure.
This week for our maths lesson we played a financial literacy game to help us learn about discounts, overdrafts in bank accounts. This game was fun but some of the questions we had to solve were kind of challenging. The purpose of this game was about profit. Even though I had a big loss I had fun in the end. The amount of money I had lost was - $65.20. We did this challenge with a partner my partner was Jayden.

Tech
This week for tech we had another session of coding with Mr Krishna. Today we were attempting to make our M-Bots to move around in a circle and a figure of eight, but first we talked about what we did last week and Mr Krishna was giving us clues to help us finish the task. The easiest one to complete was the circle we just had to make the power on one side more powerful than the other. The most challenging one to complete was the figure of eight. Once we finished that we were making the first letter of our names. These were challenging but fun to complete.
