Kiwi Can

L.I: Is to learn how to be a good role model. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we had to stand up in a circle and played a game named bang, the rules of the game is that there would be one person in the middle and him/her will call out a name and who ever's name was called out had to bob down and the people that were next to him/her had to shoot each other and who ever shot them firs had to sit down and wait for the next round. next we had Our activity was fruity tutti in this activity we had to get in a circle and face the right if Mr matt said apple we would have to jump forward if he said orange we would have to jump backwards and if he said banana we would have to turn to the left.  After that we all had to sit down and play a game named master, the rules of this game is that there would be a person that would be a master and they would be facing people with questions and one person is to call the question and who ever  had answered the question correct won and moved on to the next person.

Kiwi sport


This week we had Rippa rugby outside on the court with Haymish. First we had to get a belt and two tags to put on the sides of our belts. Once we did that we played a game called everybody's it. For everybody's it all of us had to try and steal the tags off other peoples belts. Once we steal it we had to put it on our belts. If both of our tags were gone we had to steal it from other people. We couldn't play hard on each there. Once we finished playing this game we played another game called rat and rabbits. We all had to face our partners and make a line. Instead of Haymish calling out rats and rabbits we played colours. One line was the colour orange and the other was the colour yellow. We still had our belts and tags on. Haymish had to say orange or yellow. If Haymish said orange, the orange team had to face the other way around and go to the cones that was near the hoop. The other team had to try and get the other teams tags before they go to the cones. Once we played this game we played Rippa rush, For Rippa rush Haymish chose 2 people to be in. He chose Sione T and Victoria. For this game the rest of us had to try and get to the other side. The taggers had to try and steal the other peoples tags off. If Haymish said people who are wearing shoes people who were wearing shoes had to run to the other side. When we finished playing this activity we played the last activity. For this activity Haymish put us into 3 equal teams. 1 team had to sit and watch the other teams play. One team had to wear bibs. One team had the ball. They had to try and get it to the other side. I kept intercepting by jumping up and scoring a goal.

Word ring


L.I to learn as much about the digestive system.

LI :To learn as much about the digestive system before we move on an other subjet

Today we got 7 points we got 2 points of this piece of work.We had to make a word ring about the digestive system like I said before,so we had fine whats the most important and whats not important.The larger the ring the more it does not matter to the digestive system.Next to the word ring is a description about the words and very small meanings about it.

Volume and capacity


L.I to measure the volume and the capacity.
This week I did a maths must do. This weeks maths must we had to make a google draw. Then I had to find two objects and measure the height,width and depth but first I had to estimate how many ㎤ Once I had found out the measurements, I had to choose either height,width or depth after that I to multiply the two measurements I had chose. First I used a strategy to work out the problem. Then I split the first numbers I chose. After that I had to multiply the two split by the second measurement. After that I had to add the number

Worm digestive system

L.I to make an 18 sentence explanation.
Today we were writing about Worms Digestive System. We had to write a 18 sentence Explanation about it. We watched a video before we wrote the Explanation. The paragraphs we had to have was a statement and an explanation. We also had to use the structure of an explanation, which is TIEC. This stands for Title, Introduction, Explanation, and conclusion. We also had to use the language features like Third person.

Concept star


LI: to identify keywords from a text. Today for reading I read a text about Kakahi. If you don't know what a kakahi is I will tell you. Kakahi is an organism that sucks it the food and sets it out, this works by siphons a tube that carry's something through. Then the food gets sucked into the in siphon, goes to the mouth and lets the scraps of the food go out the out siphon. For the kakahi to live they lay kakahi eggs to pass on.

Today for kiwi can group B had their fourth session in this session we had a new theme is was rolemodeles. After we talked about our new theme we moved on to our energizer it was called doggy doggy in this game one person was sitting on a chair blindfolded and had a pool noodle and four or three people had to try to get a pen in between the persons legs who is on the chair. Then we had a talk about our new theme, when we finished that we had our activity it was called Who's missing in this game the kiwi can leader taped somebody and they had to guess who was missing

4 feelings

L.I to draw four feelings and write the name of them in maori.
The feelings were Kei te pai which is good, Kei te makariri is cold, Kei te riri is angry and finally Kei te wera. Me and Giovanni drew muscles and steam coming out of the ears for Kei te riri for Kei te wera we drew sweats and I drew a sun.

Explanation

L.I  to write a 10 sentence explanation.
This week for writing we had to write a ten sentence explanation about the process of the aluminium cans. The differences of a explanation and a information report are that the explanation tells people about how something works and why it happens and a information report tells people facts.

Sensitivity

Today we did two things about sensitivity or the nervous system.We did the venn diagram.The venn diagram was eazy it was about the nervous system and not about humans jellyfish as well as you might not know jellyfish dont have a central nervous system and a brain.That makes it eazyer all had to be about Sensitivity and the nervous system even if the living thing does not have a nervous system.Then we did the song lyrics we did it worng but it was fine,we had to fine words that we dont know or technical or scientitfic words like Depolarization.

Maori


On Wednesday we made a google slides about our family and our school. We learnt new words from whia Odie and it was a lot of fun learning words that were replaced as Maori words. On the first slide was our Name, 2: Greeting, 3: School, 4: Parents, 5: Siblings. I had only photos for the second and the first slide because I have no photo's of my siblings and my parents.

Today for kiwi sport we played a game we had to pick a partner and we had to name them 1 or 2 and then the people who were named 1  they were the bib team and the other team was the non bib team the first game we played was everybody's it and we had to tag  the other team and they had to tag us and say if the bibs got every non bib out they would have to turn on each other. If you tag someone at the same time you had to do rock, paper, scissors shoot, Whoever lost had to sit down. Once we finished playing this game we played another game. For this game the non bibs was the taggers. The taggers had 2 balls. They had to try and tag the non bibs with the ball. The person with the ball couldn't move, so they had to pass the ball to one of their team members. People who got tagged by the ball had to go to Mr. Ogilvie. The non bibs had to try and get lots of people out in 2 minutes. The non bibs got 3 people out in 2 minutes. For the next round it was the bibs turn to try and get lots of people out. We got 7 people in 2 minutes. When we finished  When we finished playing this game we had to get into 2 lines. 1 line was the non bibs and the other line was the bibs. Each team had 2 balls. We had to pass the ball to each other and try to get it to a bib that was on the ground. We could only pass the ball backwards. We spread out to put the ball on the bib. Once we put the ball on the bib we had to sit down to see who won. We had fun learning stuff about rippa rugby.

Nervous system



L.I to plan and write an explanation

Today we learned how to write and explanation. The structure is
T: Title I: Introduction E: Explanation  C: Conclusion
There is also a structure for a paragraph for the Explanation. It is called S.E.E. 
S is for Statement, E is for Explanation, and the other E is for Example. The things we had to focus on the most the introduction and the conclusion. we did this Because this week we have been learning about the nervous system.

KiwiCan

This week we had Kiwi Can in room 7 group B had there second kiwi can session. Our Catch phrase is good choices aren't a test good choices are made by the best. Our theme and topic are still the same, our theme was integrity and our topic was making good choices. Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is looking, if you want to make the right choices. Our energizer was opposite in this game if Mrs Lily put her left arm out we had to put our right arm out. For our activity we played terminator tag in Terminator tag  the game works by everyone is in and if someone tags someone they have to sit down and the person that taged you and got taged then you can get back up again and go tag other people and we played this game outside. After that we had our GKQ which is when four people stand and would have to answer a question the question that I got was which country got the most medals in the commonwealth games I didn't get it but Matthew did he said Australia.

Nerves


LI:To search for research materials appropriate for our reading levels.
This week for reading we had to make a DLO or a flip grid about three questions What is a nerve, What do nerves do and How do nerves work. We had to work individually, The things in a nervous system is a spinal cord, CNS stands for Central nervous system and PNS stands for peripheral nervous system.

We needed to find information about nerves: A library book, A school journal, An internet text, A video.
