Mixed problems


L.I to problem solve.
This week for maths we had some problems to solve.
The first task was compulsory, (Meaning it had to be done). For that task, if one person doesn't finish it, they, and everyone else automatically fails. we had to solve Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Proportion, and Ratio problems. Addition and Subtraction were the easiest, Multiplication and Division were kind of easy and proportion and ratios were the hardest

I learned how to throw today and I also learned how to do shot put. If you don't know what shot put is this is how you do it, you get a shot pit ball, make sure you hold the ball with you're fingers, you also have to hold the ball up to you're neck. after that you have to turn the opposite side of where you are throwing,then you have to have you're chin, knee, toe all in a row, after you do that you have go low then high and watch it fly.

Today i am going to talk about there should be more rubbish bins in the school
Write a rhetorical question to make the audience think about your topic:
Don’t we need more rubbish bins in the school because kids are just throwing their rubbish on the ground.
What is your opinion? Write a statement that clearly states your point of view:
What I mean to say is that there should be more rubbish bins in the school because it might fly away into the sea and the sea creature will die.

List some facts or statistics that support your opinion:
  1. It is bad to throw your rubbish on the ground
  2. The animals will die

Do you have a solution to the problem?
Yes stop throwing rubbish on the ground so we have a healthy environment

Say your opinion again and warn the audience what will happen if they don’t agree with your opinion.

Solution

Summary
LI To create a persuasive speech. I learnt to write a 3 minute speech by going onto deferent sites to find information about the topic, my topic was There should be more rubbish bins in school.  I found the information for my topic and some of the boxes were the Introduction,the introduction of my topic and a rhetorical question,the POV and why I believe my POV, 3 reasons and 3 facts and Statistics and the last thing  the solution and the the Summary.

Kiwi Can

L.I To respect other people in your community.
Today for Kiwi Can We had new teachers that are teaching us, there names are mrs piho and mr latu. We played a game, in that game we had to get the hoola hoop into on of the cones. There are 3 cones one cone is 10 points another cone is 20 points and the last cone is a big FIFTY!!, the only thing is you have to make a wise choice of what cone you want the hoola hoop to over. I learned by going to Kiwi Can.

Voting Jigsaw

LI:To learn something about the election.
learnt about the party's like the green party, the labour party, national, maori.I learnt by going on a google doc and then write there party, leader name, photo of that person, there logo, and where they are.

Summarising


L.I To make connections, identify main ideas, summarise, evaluate and synthesise facts through learning conversations. This week for reading was a group challenge, group challenge means to work together as a group in a activity. The activity me and my group did was we had to read 2 different about the suffrage movement and then find 20 important words about those 2 articles, After that we had to get together as a group to tell each other the 6 most important words about woman's having the right to vote, Finally we had to use those 6 important words to make 3 scentences that have the 6 words in the scentences.

Butterfly -Pepe, Cat -Pusi, Cow -Pulu fefine, Dolphin -Tolofini, Frog -Poto, Goat -Kosi,Hen/chicken - Moa fefine, Horse - Hoosi, Pig - Puaka, Shark - ‘Anga, Sheep - Sipi, Snake - Ngata, Whale - Tofua’a. I learnt by fui teachging us the numbers. We worked in pairs and my partner was akuhata.

L.I To create a persuasive speech.
What we did today for writing is to make 3 persuasive speech. We wrote the speeches on a template. 
we had to do was a Greetings, Rhetorical Question, What is your opinion for you point of view, listing some facts to backup your opinion, do you have a solution for the problem, and last of all warning the audience if they don't agree with your opinion. Irst we made a padlet and had to write some topic

Kiwi Can

Today for we went in room 7 with Mrs Latoya and Mr Malu. Our theme is still self discipline and self control.The first activity we played was bip bop bounce i have played this game before, if you have not played this game Mrs Latoya or Mr Malu points to a person and say bip bop bounce you have to say bang before Mrs Latoya or Mr Malu says bounce, if you say bang after Mrs Latoya or Mr Malu says bounce you sit downlast activity we did before leaving back to LS1 to have our morning tea was to try and fit everyone in the circle. Mrs Latoya tied 2 skipping ropes together and made a circle with it. We had to fit everyone inside the circle, we had 4 levels we only managed to complete 3 levels.

Hauora video

Today for inquiry we had been learning about Hauora
we made a video about the four walls, The four walls are called taha tinana (Physical), Taha wairua (spiritual), Taha whanua (social) and taha hinengaro (Mental). The people in my group were Matthew,Peter and jonothan. We had to make a video that had the 4 walls and how to be a healthy person.
