Kiwi Can

L.I: learn about all skills we have done and use those things we have learn't.
This week for kiwi can it was fun week. For fun week we got to choose 2 games to play. We did a vote on games we wanted to play. The 2 games that were chosen were Octopus and invisible rugby. We got to play octopus first. To play octopus you need to have 2 taggers. Also you need a bunch of people to be in a line at the end of a court. Then the taggers have to say (RUN IF YOU ARE WEARING SHOES) Something like that. Who ever has shoes etc they have to run. Once we did that we got on the feild to play invisible rugby. To play invisible rugby you need to split up into a group of 2 or as many as you want. Someone was going to have to call out a number and what ever number that has been called the amount of people have to run. Then someone will have the ball. Who ever has the ball they have to run to their goal. If someone from the other team tags the person with the ball then they have the ball. The only thing is that you can't tag the same person back.

Swimming

LI: To learn how to swim.
This week for swimming we had to go our instructor. First we got into the pool. Then we swam to the other side using the boards. We did this two times. After we swam using the boards, we did the same thing. This time when we swam on our fronts and we had to breathe, we had to turn around on our backs and swim. We did this this a couple times.

Once we did that we did the same thing again, but we couldn't use our boards. Once we did that we had to catch toys. The toys had to sink first, then we could go down and catch it. We did that two times.  After that we did a horse race. For the horse race we had to get into partners. my partner was Jordan.

After that we got a pool noodle for the both of us. One of us had to curve the pool noodle and had to put our arms over it. The other person had to hold the end of the pool noodle with our hands. The person in the front had to run and the person at the back had to kick their legs to try and win. We came last but we didn't care because it was just a game.

Before this you have to read the instructions to play. If you typed in the wrong letter it would turn red and you would have to push that letter again then go to the next letter.

Swimming

LI: To learn water safety.
This week for Kiwi Sport we started off by walking into the YMCA Swimming place we first started by getting into our groups. After we got into our groups our name would get called and we had to jump into the pool. we can do  a dolphin dive to get a toy that is at the bottom of the pool.

We first did the streamline witch was when we have to breath and roll on to our back. So both hands on each other same as the arms and then we have to try and cover our ears. Also legs have to get underwater not on the water or it will make really big splashing.

and then we had to go under the water and we had to go threw the hoop and then the hoop got deeper until it touched the bottom floor of the pool it was really hard to breath under the water and then we had to float on our backs and we had to remember how to scull and we had to also swim and we had to turn on our backs and back on to our tummy's and then it was time for us to go back to PBS.

We had to go on this google document that Mr Wong sent us. There were informative sentences that we had to change to make them emotive. We also had to write seven or six informative sentences and emotive sentences.
After that we had to make a poster explaining emotive language. We also had to add in what techniques we used to make the informative sentences into emotive or how we could find the emotive paragraph and the informative paragraph. I also added in the types of emotive words, if you want to check it out look at the picture above.

Swimming

This week for Swimming we first learnt how to make big waves with the boards. We worked with James. By doing this, we had to standing on the wall and facing the other person. We each had to take turns going in between the other two people that were with the boards. Then after this, we then had to swish the board back and forth by doing the same thing that we were doing last time. After we finished that, we had to climb out of the Pool and go into the little Pool.

We had go into the pool and form a circle while holding hands. We then needed to run around in a circle and let go when the Teacher / James said to let go. And then we when let go, the water would push us, so we didn't have to swim by ourselves. When we finished doing that, we had to go back into the other pool and try to get the toy's that the teachers threw into the water. We took turns trying to find the toy that was in the pool. After we all finished, we got changed to go on the Bus and went back to school.

Kiwi Can

Li is to learn about perseverance.
This week for group B went to Kiwi Can. First we had to tell Mr Matt what the energizer and the activity that we did last week. The energizer was called add master in this game you have to do rock paper scissors but you have to add the numbers that you and the other person get for example if I did 3 and the other person did 4 we would have to add the two numbers which makes 7.

Next we talked about frustration so we had our activity which is called card tower in this game we got into four groups and Mr Matt gave us some cards to make a fancy looking tower we came last because our one kept falling down.
